Art that moves.
Art that matters.
Das Clarks makes bold, collaborative performance and brings creativity into unexpected places – from theatre stages to prison wings.

What we do

Art
Theatre & Performance
We make participatory theatre, cabaret and site-specific performance rooted in real stories. Whether it’s in the streets of Newport or on tour internationally, we use theatre to provoke, entertain and inspire social change.

Community
Creative Roots
This is the space to introduce the Services section. Briefly describe the types of services offered and highlight any special benefits or features.
We are responsive to our surroundings.
We make art with people, not just for them.

Projects that matter

SMASH IT UP
A bold, multi-form protest performance challenging the erasure of public art and creative freedom – part exhibition, part dance theatre, part campaign – demanding space for imagination, expression and cultural resistance.

LOUDER IS NOT ALWAYS CLEARER
Louder Is Not Always Clearer is an honest portrayal of the vulnerability of a deaf man, created and performed by a deaf man.

BRIEF HISTORY OF DIFFERENCE
An interactive theatre piece exploring identity, difference and belonging, told through conversation, personal story and playful performance by queer, neurodivergent artist Dar Rogers and collaborators.

THE BIG DANCE SHOW
A high-energy, joy-fuelled dance-off blending audience participation, physical comedy and feelgood competition – where everyday people become the stars of the show.

MEDICINE SHOW
A raucous, satirical ride through song, dance and dubious cures – The Clarks’ hilariously provocative performance diagnoses, treats and transforms the audience in a riotous quest for utopian wellness.

F.E.A.R
A raw and unflinching solo performance unravelling the inherited, absurd and intimate fears of modern masculinity – brutally honest, darkly funny and deeply human.
